PRESIDENT
Davin Johnson
Senior | B.S Sport Management Major, B.A. Digital Marketing | Davin Johnson is one of the founding members of Phi Alpha Kappa. As the President of the organization Davin is responsible for overseeing all aspects & operations of the organization. Davin grew up in Jersey City, NJ and moved to Harrisburg, PA which is where he came from prior to coming to Grand Rapids in 2021 after being enrolled at Cornerstone University. Davin is an accomplished team captain on the Varsity Wrestling team at CU, pole vaults for the Track & Field team, and is also the Co-Director of Intramural Sports on campus as well. After graduating from CU Davin plans to further his academic career in Business Administration while also coaching.

VICE PRESIDENT
Joseph Van Allen
Sophomore | B.S Graphic Design, CPD Certified Photography | Joey Van Allen is one of the Founders of Phi Alpha Kappa. Fulfilling the role as Vice President, he will lead and support the executive team, and ensure that the fraternity's goals and values are upheld. He will play a crucial part in decision-making, event planning, and maintaining member engagement. His leadership helps shape the fraternity's direction and fosters a strong, cohesive community. Joey was born in Pennsylvania and also spent much time in New York, where he finished high school, before moving to Grand Rapids to further his education and career. Joey is a member of the Baseball team here at Cornerstone, and works for the Athletic Department as a Sports Photographer. Joey plans to continue on pursuing photography after college.

HEAD ADVISOR
Evan Paul
Sophomore | B.S. Ministry & B.A. Biblical Studies, Business Administration Minor | Evan Paul joined Phi Alpha Kappa in September and serves as the Head Adviser. In this role, he offers mentorship to the executive board and members, ensuring personal and chapter growth. Evan oversees fraternity policies, provides strategic advice, and helps resolve conflicts within the chapter. He also supervises the administrative section, managing all tasks and overseeing Section Chiefs, while maintaining strong alumni relations. Originally from Payson, Arizona, Evan moved to Michigan from San Tan Valley, where he finished high school. He chose Cornerstone University because of its alignment with his values. Outside of Phi Alpha Kappa, Evan serves as the President of the Ministry, Media, and the Arts Student Association, an Investment Analyst for the Investment Club, and works as a manager in Cornerstone Food Service. After graduation, he plans to attend seminary, following God’s call to pastoral ministry.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Elijah Pleune
Sophomore | B.S. Pre-Medical | Elijah Pleune is one of the founders of Phi Alpha Kappa here at Cornerstone. Elijah is the Director of Communications and is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance the fraternity's visibility and engagement within the campus community. This role includes managing social media platforms, crafting newsletters, and coordinating public relations efforts. He will collaborate with fraternity leadership to promote events, initiatives, and values, ensuring a consistent and positive message. He is also responsible for communicating the needs of the members and the council. Elijah grew up here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He played Lacrosse, Tennis and Volleyball in high school, and now plays on the Varsity Men’s Volleyball team here at Cornerstone. Elijah plans to pursue a degree in Pre-Medical, then attend graduate school to become a doctor.

DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Brady Heckathorn
Sophomore | B.S. Ministry, B.A. Business Admin | Brady Heckathorn is a sophomore at Cornerstone studying Ministry and Business Administration. As the Director of Recruitment and Development, Brady is responsible for nurturing the spirit of brotherhood that Phi Alpha Kappa looks to build through recruiting and planning events. He hails from Western New York before he moved to Grand Rapids to pursue Ministry and a collegiate wrestling career. He is a member of the wrestling team, and works as a student leader for the Academic Foundations class here at Cornerstone. After college, he looks to pursue a career in ministry full time wherever the lord leads him.

TREASURER
Robert Phillips
Sophomore | B.S. Finance, B.A. Certified Financial Planning | Robert Phillips is a sophomore who is currently the treasurer of Phi Alpha Kappa and is majoring in finance with a minor in certified financial planning. He is committed to building relationships and brotherhood among followers of Christ in this position. While he is tasked with keeping accurate financial records and regularly updating the executive board and members, Robert creates and manages the annual budget, making sure that funding is allocated for fraternity events and projects in an efficient manner. He manages the collection of membership dues, oversees expenses, and implements fundraising strategies to support activities. Robert also educates members about finance so they may make responsible financial decisions.

CHAPLAIN
Jeffrey Bailey
Junior | B.S. Secondary Education, B.A. Special Education | Jeffrey Bailey is the Head Chaplain of Phi Alpha Kappa. Jefferey is from Gary, Indiana, and is on the Varsity Wrestling Team at Cornerstone University. He is married to Sarai Bailey and is a proud father to their son, Ezra. Jefferey is committed to encouraging spiritual development within the fraternity and hopes to pursue a career in teaching after graduation. He plans and conducts Bible studies, worship services, prayer meetings, and trips in his position as Head Chaplain. He also organizes community service initiatives, works with other E-Board members to integrate biblical values into fraternity events, mentors members seeking spiritual guidance, and oversees Biblical Studies & Worship Section.
THE COUNCIL
The Council serves as part of the fraternity's governing body, acting as the supreme court and ensuring fair governance within the fraternity. Consisting of three members, the Council is responsible for voting on all proposed rules and changes, with decisions requiring a majority vote.

Key Responsibilities
Rule Approval: Voting on every proposed rule or change within the fraternity.
Membership Decisions: Reviewing and voting on every pledge entering the fraternity.
Presidential Selection: Selecting three candidates for the presidency every two years, who will then be voted on by the entire fraternity.

COUNCIL MEMBER
Micheal Ruiz
Senior | B.S. Exercise Science, B.A. Sport Management | Michael Ruiz is one of the council members of Phi Alpha Kappa. His work as a Council Member consists of being responsible for overseeing disputes, interpreting rules, advising members, resolving conflicts, ensuring fair decision-making, promoting accountability, and educating members about fraternity policies and ethics. Michael grew up in Cayey, Puerto Rico where he lived basically his whole life before going into his junior year of high school moving to Florida and finishing his high school career that led him to play baseball at Cornerstone University, while also working for the Athletic Department. After graduating, Michael will further his academic career in Exercise Science while starting his own personal business.

BOBBY KELLY
Senior | B.S. Sport Management | Bobby Kelly is another one of the council members for Phi Alpha Kappa. He is responsible for assisting the rest of the members with day to day decisions and operations throughout the year. Bobby is from Grosse Pointe Michigan, where he graduated and then went to play baseball at Davenport University for the last 3 years. He then transferred to Cornerstone, where he is currently a member of the baseball team. Bobby plans to graduate from Cornerstone with a degree in Sport Management, and will further his career in this area.

JOHN CALIENDO
Junior | B.S. Business Management, Sports Management | John is one of the council members with Phi Alpha Kappa. He is responsible for maintaining values and supporting the overall mission for the fraternity in many areas and aspects. John grew up in Muskegon, Michigan, where he graduated high school. He then moved to Grand Rapids, where he’s currently studying Business Management with a minor in Sports Management. His future plan is to graduate and continue his charter business or enter into the sports world. John spends a lot of his time on the baseball field, as he plays for the team here at CU.
